Currently working on. . .

In between handling the promo for IN GOD IS OUR TRUST, I'm working on a few new projects.

One is a political suspense novel set near an underground military installation buried under a mountain in West Virginia. It's currently titled, Blue Mountain. Here's the teaser:

No one expected much from Sophie Beaudreaux. Born sickly and blue, the sweet, addled child was the mascot of her small West Virginia mining town, until the day she wandered out of the Smokey hills near her home carrying something that would alter the course of Cutler's Ridge forever.

The townsfolk buried Sophie's secret for twenty years until another strange occurrence brings a host of reporters to town, including a dogged investigative reporter named Jaxon James who desperately needs a winning story. Another stranger also arrives, a timid woman around whom strange coincidences seem to occur. Some think she's crazy. Some believe she's an angel. Others fear she's retribution for the town's secret sins. Jaxon James has his own theory about the woan's timely arrival, and moreover, he might have two Pulitzer-prize winning stories on his hands, if he can reveal Sophie's secret.

Like it? Ooohh.... I hope so...

My second project is a Christmas sequel to my first novel--UNSPOKEN.

Two battle-scarred young men are set to return to tiny Smithsburg, Maryland. A warm welcome awaits one--town golden son, Ethan Mercer, the highly decorated hero whose courageous exploits emblazon the Smithsburg Herald's front page and dominate the cafe's conversation.

Noah Wheeler hoped to simply be invisible. He knew he would be remembered as his aunt and uncle's greatest disappointment, but when their offer of refuge is extended once again, Noah takes it, hoping for three simple things: to work at the one thing he's good at, to be invisible, and to hide from the enemy who made his childhood miserable.

But while on assignment at a children's home, Noah meets Merit Davenport, a reformed juvenile offender who is still nursing a few wounds from a painful break-up with Ethan. Her own reformation gives him hope, and her friendship gives him strength.

With Merit's help, a new man begins to emerge from the scraps of Noah's past, and then a new trial nearly shatters his fragile world. As Merit rushes in to shore him up letters from Ethan begin showing up expectedly, asking for a second chance. Painfully aware that he cannot measure up to the great Ethan Mercer, Noah must decide if he has finally found something, and someone, he is willing to fight for.

I haven't fleshed it all out yet, so keep coming back for updates.
