About me

I used to spend my quiet time at home writing episodes of my favorite TV shows, casting me as the guest star. I was nine or ten, and my leading men were Bobby Sherman, David Cassidy, and Donnie Osmond. This overactive imagination couldn't be contained at school either. My stories were so real I was often caught talking to myself, which resulted in my desk being moved to the hallway on more than one occasion. So imagine my delight when my imaginings finally found an acceptable outlet like novel writing?

I'm a Marylander. I love the spring and fall and crabs. I love the abundant local history, which is why I wrote "Free Men and Dreamers." Point me to Fort McHenry, Philadelphia, D.C., Williamsburg, or any other old spot, and I'm in heaven.

Husband Tom (we met on a CB radio in the 70's, but I digress. . .) has become my able research assistant. Our kids have never really been bitten by the history bug, but we've managed to drag them out to a few of our favorite places. There is still hope for our twelve smidgeons, (otherwise known as the grandkids.)

God, family, and country are my anchors. Plus good friends. These are the themes in my books.  My goal is to uplift and inspire. I love the concept of redemption. Don't we all need a bit of that?

I'm not the best at technology, but I've mastered emails and I'm plugging along at social media. Sign up for my newsletter and I'll send you a couple of my favorite recipes.

Professionally, I started my career publishing with Covenant Communications with whom I published UNSPOKEN and the first two volumes of my Free Men and Dreamers series, DARK SKY AT DAWN, and TWILIGHT'S LAST GLEAMING. We've teamed up again on SECRETS NEVER DIE which released July 1, 2019.

I've also had the pleasure of working with Walnut Springs Publishing and Gelato Books, but I'm primarily publishing independently right now under my own imprint--Willowsport Press.

Thanks for stopping by. The greatest gifts a writer receives are feedback and nice reviews. If you felt your time was well spent reading any of my books, please drop me a line, or post a kind word on Amazon, Goodreads, or any other site. It helps other interested readers find my books as well.

Much love,
